Turku Technology Properties owns over 136,000 square metres of leased office premises in Turku Science Park. The company’s biggest tenants are the City of Turku, the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, in addition which there are around 200 other enterprises and organisations operating in its premises.

BioCity

Built in the early 1990s, BioCity is Turku Science Park’s centre of biotechnology which has housed many leading Finnish biotechnology companies since then. BioCity offers office, production and laboratory premises, and there is room for both small and large players. The spacious lobby, conference rooms and Restaurant Mauno ensure that companies and employees enjoy their time in BioCity.

DataCity

Located on Lemminkäisenkatu street, DataCity was built in 1988 and formed the first part of Turku Science Park when it was completed. The ground floor of DataCity houses many different companies that provide services to the businesses and consumers in the area and help in the everyday needs of those working in the building and the whole area. DataCity’s general premises were renovated and impressive new outdoor lighting was installed in 2013.

ElectroCity

Built originally in the early 20th century, the Silo textile factory building was renovated and expanded as premises for high-tech companies in 1989. There are currently e.g. many IT and media companies operating in the building. A major renovation project commenced in ElectroCity in January 2015, and its last phase is being completed in autumn 2016.

High Tech City

Located on Lemminkäisenkatu street, High Tech Centre 3 was designed by Haroma & Partners Architects and built in 2012. With four storeys and a floor area of 4,000 m2 the building currently houses the head office of HK Scan.

ICT-City

Completed in 2006, ICT-City is the newest of the buildings owned by Turku Technology Properties. The spacious and modern building was designed by Lahdelma & Mahlamäki Architects. As suggested by its name, ICT-City comprises a wide range of ICT expertise, including the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University and Turku University of Applied Sciences. Canteen services in ICT-City are run by Sodexo.

Campus building, TUAS

Turku Technology Properties is currently constructing a building for Turku University of Applied Sciences. The new campus gathers all the departments of TUAS to the same place. The project will be finished on spring 2020. You can follow the construction process here.

Kupittaa Ball Game Hall

A long-awaited indoor ball game hall will be completed on Lemminkäisenkatu street in late 2017. Designed by Artto Palo Rossi Tikka Architects, the hall will meet the international standards. Built next to Trivium, the hall will be 12.5 metres high with audience capacity of 2,500.

Kupittaan paviljonki

Kupittaan Paviljonki is located in the verdant Kupittaa Park, right next to the Turku Science Park area. The building houses a luncheon restaurant which can also be hired for private occasion for up to 140 people.

PharmaCity

Located on Itäinen Pitkäkatu street, PharmaCity was designed by Katri Pulli from Meri architecture ltd and built in 2001. PharmaCity has office and teaching premises as well as laboratory and research facilities. Tenants include e.g. the University of Turku, Turku Science Park Ltd, Unica Oy, Pharmatest Services Oy, and advertising agency SST Oy.

TriviumCity

Located on Lemminkäisenkatu street, TriviumCity was designed by Artto Palo Rossi Tikka Architects and built in 2002. Companies based in TriviumCity include e.g. Cloetta Oy, Fujitsu Oy and SATS fitness centre. The top floor of TriviumCity has an impressive banqueting room Mauno Sky which offers conference rooms as well as a sauna, outdoor Jacuzzi, and a large roof terrace.

Visitor and Innovation Centre Joki

Visitor and Innovation Centre Joki, located in the middle of the WTC quarter Turku, is a joint visitor centre for the city of Turku and companies and universities in the Turku area. It functions as a showroom for business, innovations and city development.
