Sport at the best location event brought volleyball fans together

Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's popular Sport at the best location events continued in late November when TUTO Volley hosted a volleyball evening at Visitor Centre Joki. The event once again gathered a full house of sports fans to enjoy the volleyball atmosphere, with around 140 participants present.

At the beginning of the event, Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's Community Manager Carita Varjonen shared the latest news from Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt and Visitor Centre Joki.

TUTO's Sports Director and CEO Oskari Eko and the team's head coach Jani Niskakangas arrived to share updates about the team and pre-game feelings about the evening's match. The Mestaruusliiga match was TUTO Volley vs. Hurrikaani-Loimaa.

Karri Virtanen, who started as the CEO of the Finnish Volleyball Association in September, brought greetings from the association and praised the Kupittaa Sports Hall as a fantastic venue.

TUTO Hockey CEO Kimmo Hollmén, who was among the guests, also joined the stage for an interview to share the latest news about the TUTO hockey team and discuss the cooperation between ice hockey and volleyball. TUTO Volley will play next at Kupittaa on Saturday, December 2nd, which is also the day of TUTO Hockey's home game. The day promises to be action-packed, as a ticket to the Mestis match also grants entry to the TUTO Volley game, and vice versa.

After the volleyball and ice hockey updates, guests enjoyed delicious burgers at Restaurant Mauno before heading to the Palloiluhalli for the evening's match.

The match event also celebrated the centenary of the birth of the passionate volleyball enthusiast, President Mauno Koivisto. In the match, TUTO Volley took up the challenge against the clear favorite, Hurrikaani-Loimaa, and the game ended in a 3-1 victory for Hurrikaani. The event saw a record-breaking crowd for the season, with 802 spectators. Thank you all!
