Jukka Virko appointed as CFO of Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt

Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt strengthens its strategic expertise as Jukka Virko begins as the company's new CFO. He is responsible for the strategic financial management, financing, financial reporting, and the development of financial administration for the Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt group. In addition, he is a member of the company's management team.

Maaria Salmenpohja, who has also previously held the position of CFO, will focus as Administrative Director on human resources, risk management, and internal control of the group. She is also responsible for sustainability work and ensuring that the company's operations are compliant with the law.

Jukka Virko has over 15 years of experience in managing and developing finance, business, and organizations, as well as six years of experience as CEO in the technical trade and services group Finnsiirto Group. Previously, he has worked as, among other things, CFO at the international technology company Satel Oy and as a business controller at Skanska, focusing on financial steering in the construction business.

─ Experience from different industries helps me view business from multiple perspectives and utilize best practices found in various environments. I believe that the experience gained in both CFO and CEO positions provides a good foundation for my new role, Virko says.

As CFO, Virko will focus particularly on strengthening data-driven management, decision support, and the collaboration between finance and business operations. It is also central to increase clarity in the organization's operations and common situational awareness, as well as to develop operating models that support smooth cooperation, efficient work, and the achievement of strategic goals.

─ Our goal is to strengthen the predictability of our business, support decision-making related to investments and capital utilization, and promote the organization's sustainable growth and long-term value creation, Virko continues.

The first days at work have been busy, and Virko has already had the chance to get to know the new work community well.

─ The first week has been truly pleasant, interesting, and even inspiring. The reception has been warm, and I have had the opportunity to get to know skilled and nice colleagues as well as a comfortable working environment right in the heart of Turku's development. It has been genuinely nice to come to work, and I look forward to participating in developing the company, which plays a significant role in the development of the Turku Science Park and especially the Kupittaa area, Virko concludes.
