Another year has flown by – and what a year it was!
This year marked 15 years since the founding of Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt, and the anniversary was celebrated with stakeholders by envisioning the future. Werstas, Turku's largest co-working space, also celebrated its birthday – reaching 10 years!
During the year, Turku's first wooden office building AkvaCity was completed, the most colourful building in the Science Park, ElectroCity, received the international LEED Gold environmental certificate, and we acquired the Arken property complex located by the Aura River. Meanwhile, the parking facility ParkCity served as a stage for modern dance, and the SHIFT Business Festival surprised people once again, bringing 2,700 visitors to the Turku Science Park.
During the year, we also hired seven new employees, gained a new board member, and built Finland's largest outdoor green wall at Jussinaukio. We built or renovated 51 toilets, posted 263 times on Instagram, responded to 119 office space inquiries, and signed 79 lease agreements.
Thank you to everyone we have had the pleasure of working with this year. We are donating the funds reserved for Christmas gifts to charity – this year, the recipient is the Children's and Adolescents' Clinic at TYKS.
