Arespartners, a company specializing in executive search and management development, found its new office space in ElectroCity. They wanted to invest in the space, because for Arespartners, an office is not just a workstation, but part of the customer experience.
– I knew immediately that we wanted our Turku office specifically in the Science Park. It’s easy to get here by car or train, the facilities are functional, and the area has great services and a sense of community. People say hello in the elevator, and I run into people I know at lunch, says the new head of Arespartners' Turku office Sami Puumalainen.
The company moved into its new 74-square-meter premises from Old Mill and chose the Science Park specifically because of its accessibility and services.
– We wanted an office that includes not only a workspace but also a meeting room and a coffee lounge for more informal encounters. We have many clients visiting, and it is important that the space supports the way we work.
New kind of added value for recruitment
Arespartners is particularly known for executive search and recruitment of key personnel, as well as headhunting. In recent years, traditional headhunting has been joined by business development and management consulting services.

– We are driven by the idea that a good recruitment doesn’t end with the signing of an employment contract. We continue where many others end the process. We want to help the new leader succeed in their work, for example by sparring a new CEO during the first 100 days and helping with building the management team.
Arespartners aims to improve the client’s business comprehensively. According to Puumalainen, successful companies are characterized by three factors: they have a clear vision of the future direction, the right people in the right roles, and focus their efforts on the right things.

– Surprisingly often you hear that people’s experiences with recruitment processes have not been good. Because it concerns both our brand and our client’s employer image, it is extremely important to us that everyone feels treated well and that the process leaves a positive impression, regardless of whether the person is selected for the job or not, Puumalainen emphasizes.
For Arespartners, it was important to find their own office rather than a shared space, because few people involved in a recruitment process want to be spotted in the hallways with a recruitment consultant.
– Anonymity is really important to us. Our office's micro-location on the third floor of ElectroCity is perfect for us, as it ensures privacy for applicants. It is great that we found an office in a location that supports our way of working.
